Night Ranger

Night Ranger features veteran rockers and founding members Jack Blades, Brad Gillis and Kelly Keagy. They are joined on stage by Joel Hoekstra, lead guitarist from the Broadway musical, Rock of Ages, and multi-instrumentalist Christian Cullen. Breaking onto the scene in the San Francisco bay area in the early 80's, they became an arena rock force having sold over 16 million recordings. Night Ranger's debut album Dawn Patrol hit the charts hard, going Top 40 instantly with the, now anthem like single, "Don't Tell Me You Love Me".

Night Ranger left an indelible mark with a string of best-selling albums that sold more than 16 million copies worldwide. The band's popularity was fuelled by an impressive string of instantly recognizable hit singles and signature album tracks, including the aforementioned "Don't Tell Me You Love Me", "Sister Christian," "(You Can Still) Rock In America," "When You Close Your Eyes," "Sentimental Street," "Goodbye", "Sing Me Away", "Four In the Morning" and the "Secret of My Success". Harnessing the frenetic drive of heavy metal to hook-laden rock songs, throwing in a stunning twin lead guitar team, and melodious, radio-friendly power ballads Night Ranger inspired new descriptive phrases such as "melodic metal" and "metal power pop". They became the standard-bearer of a new sound in the 80's.

In addition to their band's success, each of the band members has enjoyed individual accomplishments releasing solo albums or side projects such as Jack Blades along with Ted Nugent and Tommy Shaw in Damn Yankees and Brad Gillis having toured with musical great Ozzy Osbourne. Grand Funk Railroad

Originating in Flint, Michigan in 1969, Grand Funk Railroad celebrated "40 Years of Funk" in 2009. Known as "The American Band", GFR first appeared in Fort Dodge in 2001 as the headliner for Daybreak Rotary's annual Dragon Boat Bash. That band lineup remains intact to this day. The high-energy five-piece group includes original founding members Don Brewer (vocals and drums, writer and singer of the multi-million selling hit, We're An American Band) and bassist Mel Schacher, "The God Of Thunder". Joining Don and Mel are true "All Stars". Singer Max Carl is a rock veteran from 38 Special. Max penned and sang 38's biggest hit "Second Chance" and was co-founder of California's legendary Jack Mack and the Heart Attack. Don refers to Max as "the best blue-eyed soul singer on the planet. Lead guitarist Bruce Kulick is best known for his 12 years with KISS and also has credits with Michael Bolton, Meatloaf and Billy Squier. KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were influenced early on by Grand Funk. Keyboardist Tim Cashion has a master's degree in music from the University of Miami and is affectionately referred to as Dr. Tim. his credits include stints with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and English soul man Robert Palmer.

Internationally acclaimed Grand Funk has toured the world, selling out in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and South America. A 1971 performance at New York's Shea Stadium sold out faster than the Beatles. The group's widespread appeal is also evident in its prestigious recording achievements. Over their career, Grand Funk has had 19 charted singles, 8 Top 40 hits and two #1 singles (We're An American Band and Locomotion, both selling more than one million each). The group has now accumulated 13 gold and 10 platinum records with record sales in excess of 25 million copies sold worldwide. The most recent gold CD award was presented to the band May 10, 2002 for their greatest hits package Grand Funk Railroad The Collectors Series. Grand Funk Railroad has produced scores of radio favorites like "We're An American Band", "The Locomotion", "Some Kind of Wonderful", "Shinin' On", "Bad Time", "Closer to Home (I'm Your Captain)", "Walk Like a Man", "Rock & Roll Soul". www.grandfunkrailroad.com
